About this place
Chicken Creek Trailhead is a year-round point of access to the forest. It serves a mountain bike trail system in the summer and a nordic ski area trail system in the winter. There is a parking area available. From Mancos, drive north on State Highway 184 for 3 miles to the junction with County Road 40. Turn right (north) and continue for 2.6 miles to intersection with NFSR 236. Turn right on 236 where the trailhead is.
