East Fork Trailhead is located in the East Fork Valley, 38 miles outside of the city of Montrose, CO. This trailhead offers non-motorized recreational opportunities. This trailhead is a portal for the Uncompahgre Wilderness, a 102,209-acre playground offering worldclass mountaineering, hiking, backpacking, and fishing opportunities. All-Wheel Drive or Four-Wheel Drive is recommended for trailhead access. A vault restroom is available at the trailhead. From Montrose, CO travel east on US Highway 50 for 20 miles. Turn right on Cimarron/858 road. Continue on Cimarron/858 Road for 19.5 miles. Turn left to stay on Cimarron/858 Road. Continue on, East Fork Trailhead will be at the end of the road in 1.5 miles.
