The Swamp Fox Trail is part of the cross-state Palmetto Trail. There are three trailheads on this 47-mile stretch of trail: Swamp Fox Trailhead in the east on Highway 17; the central trailhead in Cordesville; and the western trailhead at a parking area on Hwy 52 and FS road 115. From Charleston, take U.S. Highway 17 North to Steed Creek Road (SC Route 133-S) in Awendaw. Just beyond Steed Creek Road, the trailhead will be on the left.
