About this place
This trailhead provides access to the Superior Hiking Trail as well as winter ski trails, and single track mountain biking opportunities. This trail network is dense and contains multiple trail crossings, so visitors should have access to navigational aids (map, compass, and/ or GPS) to ensure they remain on the desired trail. During winter periods, hikers should avoid cross country ski trails From Grand Marais- take the Gunflint Trail (CR 12) and go 2.0 miles. Turn right on Cook Co. Rd. 53 (Pincushion Drive) and go 0.25 miles to parking lot. Turn from Gunflint Trail has sign marked "Scenic Overlook." Overnight parking okay
