About this place

The trail climbs steadily through the ski area to the ridgeline, then drops east to the powerline clearcut. The trail passes many lakes and intersects with Tunnel Creek and Surprise Creek trails. The trails skirts east of Surprise and Glacier Lakes, climbing around Surprise Mountain, and then intersecting Deception Creek Trail. PCT leaves the Skykomish District at Deception Pass. A fee is charged. Drive US Highway 2 to the summit of Stevens Pass, at milepost 65. Turn south into Stevens Pass resort's parking area (Lot A), head uphill and make an immediate left on the next parking level (you will pass a public toilet at the entrance of this lot). The trailhead is a short distance down, on the right side of the lot.
