About this place

Spectacular views of Lake Almanor, Dyer Mountain and Lassen Volcanic National Park can be found along the entire route of the Lake Almanor Recreation Trail. Winding along the west shore of the lake, this paved multi use trail has several access points, and several places to stop and enjoy the lake. Motorized vehicles of any kind are strictly prohibited, as well as pack animals. This trailhead is known as ?5 Mile?, as it is about mile 5 of this approx. 11 mile paved trail. It can be found at the crossing with Prattville Butt Reservoir Rd. off Highway 89. Located on Prattville Butt Reservoir Road off of Highway 89.
