About this place
This is a longer hike to Iron Mountain viewing platform with an additional 700 foot elevation gain and a total of 1.7 miles one way. You can also access Cone Peak for a loop total of 6.45 miles including a portion of the Santiam Wagon Road trail. A fee is charged. Approximately 34 miles east of Sweet Home, OR, turn right off Highway 20 onto Deer Creek Road (Forest Service Road 15) and travel 0.5 miles to the trailhead.
