About this place

This trailhead accesses Cache Creek Tr. No. 317. The trail proceeds along Cache Creek for about 7 miles, entering into the Great Burn proposed wilderness and providing excellent opportunities for solitude. There are no currently maintained connections from Tr. 317 to any other trails. The trailhead features a large parking area, hitching rails, and an information kiosk. From I-90 exit 66, head south on Fish Creek Rd No 343. Stay on Rd No 343 for 19.2 miles. Turn right on Montana Cr Rd No 4218 for 0.8 miles. Slight left on Cache Cr Rd No 17442 for 1.3 miles. Road ends at large parking area with trailhead straight ahead.
