About this place

Bowman Ridge Trailhead is located off Forest Road 51 near Beaver Creek Wilderness. From the trailhead parking lot, Bowman Ridge Trail #514 meanders along the old roadway before dropping down to Beaver Creek and the heart of the wilderness with trail connections to Middle Ridge Trail #518, Upper Bowman Trail #532 and Upper Bowman Trail #532A. The trailhead has minimal development but provides visitor information and parking. From Somerset, take US 27 south 16 miles. Turn east onto Forest Service Road 50 (Bauer Road) and travel 2.25 miles. Turn onto Forest Service Road 51 and travel 2.5 miles. From Whitley City, take US 27 north 12.5 miles. Turn east onto Forest Service Road 50 (Bauer Road) and travel 2.25 miles. Turn onto Forest Service Road 51 and travel 2.5 miles.
