This is the access point for The Old Monte Cristo Townsite, Poodle Dog Pass-Silver Lake-Twin Lakes Trail #708 and Glacier Basin Trail 719 which access Henry M Jackson Wilderness via Old Monte Cristo Townsite Trail. A fee is charged. From the Verlot Public Service Center (11 miles east of Granite Falls, WA), travel east on the Mt. Loop Highway 19.4 miles to the trailhead at Barlow Pass.
