About this place

Auxier Ridge Trailhead is located at the end of Tunnel Ridge Road (#39) in the Red River Gorge. The trailhead provides access to some of the most popular geologic features in the Red River Gorge, including Haystack Rock, Courthouse Rock and Double Arch, via Double Arch Trail #201, Courthouse Rock Trail #202, Auxier Branch Trail #203 and Auxier Ridge Trail #204. The site has designated parking, visitor information, trash collection and a picnic table. Traveling east on the Mountain Parkway, take exit 33 at Slade. Turn left and then right onto KY 15. Travel east 3.2 miles to Tunnel Ridge Road on the left. Follow Tunnel Ridge Road about 5 miles to its terminus at the Auxier Ridge parking area.
