Sandstone Trailhead is located off Tunnel Ridge Road (#39) in the Red River Gorge and offers access to backcountry camping and hiking. The site has designated parking, visitor information, trash collection and a picnic table. From the Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway, Take exit 33 (Slade). Follow KY 11 north 0.1 miles to KY 15. Turn right on KY 15 and travel east approximately 3.25 miles. Turn left onto Tunnel Ridge Road. The parking lots are along Tunnel Ridge Road.
