Trailhead on National Forest land. From the ferry terminal: turn right and travel 1.7 miles to DeHarts Store above Auke Bay marinas. Stay on Glacier Highway (second exit in the traffic circle). Travel 0.45-miles and the Spaulding Meadows trailhead is on the right. The John Muir Cabin is located 3.25-miles from the trailhead.
