About this place
Backpackers' Campground is located on the East end of Lake Alpine, CA. All sites are walk-in tent sites. Cars cannot be parked in camp, parking is available on the adjacent street. A fee is charged. Highway 4 to east shore of Lake Alpine. Turn south on road just east of Chickaree Picnic Area. Campground is located half way between Highway 4 and Pine Marten Campground.
