Hosting on Landgogh
Agreement to host terms
By becoming a host or continuing to use Landgogh’s hosting tools, you agree to this Host Agreement, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not list a property or accept bookings.
Marketplace role
Landgogh is a platform
- Landgogh provides tools for discovery, messaging, bookings, and payments. We are not a party to the stay between you and a guest unless we expressly say otherwise in writing.
- You decide pricing, availability, house rules, and whether to accept a booking request where the product requires host confirmation.
- You are responsible for the condition of your property, access for guests, and fulfilling confirmed stays.
Listings
Accuracy and authority
- You represent that you own or have lawful authority to offer the land or lodging you list.
- Listing details must be accurate: location, amenities, site types, capacity, photos, rules, and safety notices.
- You will keep availability and fire bans or access restrictions up to date.
- You will not misrepresent ownership, zoning status, or what guests can expect on site.
Safety
Guest safety and access
- Provide clear arrival instructions and disclose known hazards, access limits, and local rules that affect the stay.
- Maintain the property in a reasonably safe condition for the stay types you offer.
- Honor confirmed bookings in good faith and communicate promptly about issues that affect a guest’s stay.
- Do not discriminate against guests in violation of applicable law or Landgogh community standards.
Land use
Zoning, permits, and land use
- Before listing, you must confirm that camping, lodging, or short-term stays are allowed on your property under local zoning and land-use rules.
- You are solely responsible for obtaining any Conditional Use Permit, Special Use Permit, short-term rental permit, campground license, or similar approval your city or county requires.
- Density limits, setbacks, HOA rules, and neighbor restrictions may be stricter than Landgogh’s tools. Local law controls; you must not list in violation of those limits.
- Landgogh does not verify zoning for you. Listing on the platform is not permission to host.
Health
Sanitation and environmental health
- Every listing must provide a lawful plan for human waste: host-provided toilet facilities, guest self-contained RVs, or pack-in/pack-out toilet systems where allowed.
- Rustic, composting, portable, or vault toilets must comply with county health and environmental rules. Improper graywater or blackwater disposal is your responsibility and may lead to fines.
- You must disclose toilet and waste expectations clearly in your listing so guests know what to bring or expect.
Emergencies
Fire safety and duty of care
- You must monitor and strictly enforce all applicable state, county, and local fire bans, including updating your listing’s fire-ban status when restrictions change.
- You have a duty of care to survey your land for known hazards, mark or mitigate dangerous terrain where practical, and warn guests about wildlife, cliffs, water, and other material risks.
- Provide guests with practical emergency information, including evacuation guidance and how to reach local emergency services or the nearest hospital when relevant to your property.
- Secure food storage guidance where dangerous wildlife is a known risk in your area.
Risk & insurance
Insurance and liability
- Landgogh does not currently provide host general liability insurance. You must carry your own liability or homeowner’s coverage suitable for inviting overnight guests onto your land, and complete any insurance attestation we require before publishing.
- If we later offer platform insurance or host protections, eligibility, limits, and exclusions will be disclosed separately. Those programs do not replace your own policies or legal duties.
- High-risk activities (for example motorized vehicles, firearms/hunting, horseback riding, or serving alcohol) may require additional commercial coverage. You must not offer activities your insurance does not cover.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that Landgogh is not liable for guest injury, property damage, lost income, or disputes arising from stays on your land, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
Payouts
Identity and payments
- You must complete identity verification and payment onboarding (including Stripe Connect) as required before accepting paid bookings.
- Payout timing, holds, and chargebacks follow our product rules and our payment processor’s terms.
- You authorize Landgogh and its processors to collect platform fees, taxes we are required to collect, refunds, and adjustments related to your bookings.
Fees
Fees and cancellations
- Listing is free. Landgogh charges a service fee on bookings as disclosed in the host portal at the time of listing or booking.
- Guest and host cancellations follow the cancellation policy shown at checkout and in your listing tools.
- Repeated no-shows, cancellations, or policy abuse may result in listing removal or account restrictions.
Compliance
Laws, taxes, and prohibited uses
- You operate as an independent host/business for tax purposes and must track and report income to federal and state tax agencies.
- Transient occupancy, lodging, or hotel taxes (TOT) are often owed to cities or counties. Where Landgogh has configured automatic collection and remittance for your jurisdiction, we will disclose those rates in your listing tools. Where we have not, you remain solely responsible for collecting and remitting those taxes.
- Platform-managed tax collection, when shown, does not relieve you of other tax obligations or of verifying that your local requirements are met.
- Prohibited uses include illegal activity, unsafe conditions, fraudulent listings, and using the platform to circumvent fees or safety requirements.
Content
Photos and listing content
- You grant Landgogh a non-exclusive license to use your listing content (including photos and descriptions) to operate, promote, and improve the hosting marketplace.
- You represent that you have the rights needed to grant that license and that your content does not infringe others’ rights.
Account
Suspension and termination
- We may suspend listings or host privileges for policy violations, safety concerns, fraud, chargebacks, or legal risk.
- You may stop hosting by unpublishing listings and closing your host profile tools, subject to completing or resolving open bookings.
- We may update this Host Agreement. Material changes may require renewed acceptance before you continue hosting.
