After six years with a van, the hardest part has never been finding a place to park. It's finding your people, scattered across a handful of apps and a dozen groups. So I built Landgogh: one place to find your spot, find your people, and plan where you're going next.
It's almost ready, and I'm launching it the only way that feels right: from the road.
The road trip to launch it
This Thanksgiving, Luca and I are driving from Colorado back to Wisconsin to be with family. From there we're heading up to Minnesota to visit a friend. After that, the way home is wide open.
The plan, such as it is:
- Start: Denver, Colorado
- First stop: Wisconsin, for Thanksgiving
- Then: up to Minnesota to see a friend
- The way home is open
I'm planning it as I go, in Landgogh, one stop at a time, and using the app every day the way it's meant to be used: checking in, adding the places that are missing, and fixing whatever breaks. When I'm back in Colorado, I'll share the whole thing as a Landgogh trip, every stop and check-in, so you can borrow the route or steal the best spots. The video version will be on Built2Vanish.
Know a great spot between the upper Midwest and the Rockies? If you're already on Landgogh, send it to me there. If you're not in yet, the waitlist is how you get in. With no plan for the drive home, there's a good chance I'll end up there.
How to get in early
We're opening Landgogh slowly, so the first people in help shape what it becomes.
- Join the waitlist. We'll randomly select 500 waitlist signups for a free Trailblazer account, a founding Adventurer account. Not everyone who joins will get one.
- Get invited. Founding members get 5 invites to share. If someone you camp with is already in, ask them for one.
- Tell us what's missing. If something's broken or a place is wrong, I want to hear it. If you're already on Landgogh, message me there. I read everything.
Thanks for being here this early.
See you on the trail.
— Josh
