From the Winopee Trailhead, the Winopee Lake Trail #16 travels west along Cultus Lake Campground and then north past Winopee Lake to the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail No. 2000 within Three Sisters Wilderness. Access to Teddy, Muscrat, Winopee, Snowshoe, and Long Lakes is available from this trail. The Winopee Lake Trail enters the Three Sisters Wilderness beyond Cultus Lake. Self issue wilderness permits are required for day use, overnight permits can be obtained at Recreation.gov. From Bend, travel 46 miles southwest on Cascade Lakes Hwy (46), then west on Forest Road 4635 for 2 miles. Trail begins from Winopee Lake Trailhead near Cultus Lake Campground.
