About this place

Tumble Creek Trail climbs 3,000 feet in in 5.3 miles providing views of Mt. Jefferson, Detroit Lake and Tumble Creek Canyon. The trail travels through second growth Douglas-fir and some old growth forest then opens up along the ridge. The trail intersects the Dome Rock Trail #3381 and Tumble Lake Trail #3379 on the north end. Generally, the south trailhead provides year round access to the trail, but parts of the upper trail can be blocked by snow. From Detroit, Oregon, head west on Highway 22 for 2 miles. Tumble Creek Trailhead is on the right hand side of the Highway before Tumble Creek bridge.
