About this place
Trailhead on the western slope of the the Collegiate Peaks and Cottonwood Pass, it accesses the non-motorized Texas Creek Trail in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area. High clearance, 4x4 vehicle is recommended for access. From Almont, travel east on County Road 742 (Taylor Canyon Road) to Taylor Park Reservoir. Continue past the turn to Cottonwood Pass, and take Forest Road 755 to the trailhead. High clearance, 4x4 recommended.
