The Tamarack Lake trail is 1.3 miles long. It begins at 21017 Sec 7 and ends at Tamarack Lake Sec 13. Provides access to the Pacific Crest Trail. From South Lake Tahoe, take US-50 west to CA-89. Travel 11.2 miles on CA-89, then right onto CA-88W for 2.5 miles. Left at Blue Lake Road then travel 10.5 miles to Sunset Lake Road, turn left and trailhead will be on the left after 0.2 miles.
