About this place
There is plenty of parking space at the trailhead, with tie stalls for horses available. Stock water is located northeast of the trailhead, approximately 1/4 mile on Forest Service road 651. From John Day, OR., travel south on US Highway 395 to County Road 65. Follow County Road 65 for approximately 6 miles to the junction with Forest Road 651. Turn left onto Forest Road 651 and proceed approximately 3 miles to trailhead.
