About this place

The Britton Peak Trailhead is a multi-use trailhead including year-round opportunities. In the snow free months the trailhead is popular for hiking and single track mountain biking and during the winter this is a popular trailhead for cross country skiing. The trail to Britton Peak is possibly the shortest trail to a Sawtooth Mountain overlook on the Forest. It is a quick, though steep, quarter mile hike with a nice scenic view from the top. It is a short dead-end branch off the northbound Superior Hiking Trail. The Superior Hiking Trail southbound from the Britton Peak Trailhead includes the dead-end Carlton Peak Trail to the summit of Carlton Peak. From Tofte- Take Sawbill Trail (CR 2) for 2.6 miles. The trailhead is on the right side of the road.
