The Sunset Ridge Trailhead is found just 1/4 mile southwest of Esterbrook Campground on the Harris Park Road. This parking lot will allow access to the Sunset Ridge Trail, which now includes a newly constructed loop as well as an access route to the trail systems north of the Harris Park Road. Construction of the trailhead/parking lot should be completed this summer. It is located in the Laramie Peak area and is managed by the Douglas Ranger District. #1: Follow Highway 94 south from Douglas, to County Road 5, east to Forest Road 633, northeast to Esterbrook Campground. 31 Miles #2: Follow County Road 59 west from Glendo, to Forest Road 614, northwest to Esterbrook campground. 20 miles
