About this place
This busy trailhead provides access to Snow Lakes Trail #1553 and the Enchantment Permit Area within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Permits are required for overnight use and day use in this area. Overnight use: a permit through recreation.gov is required from May 15 to October 31. Day use: Wilderness Permits are free and self-issued at the trailhead. A fee is charged. From Leavenworth, turn onto Icicle Road. Follow Icicle Road/Forest Road 7600 for 4.3 miles to the trailhead. Vandalism is common to vehicles parked at this trailhead. Please do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
