The parking area is just alongside Hwy 89 on the east side of the road. This trailhead is the southern terminus of Trail A, with connections to Trails L and H. Snowmobilers can reserve LaBarge or Cazier Guard Stations; safety shelters are available at Poker Hollow and Poison Meadows. From the Town of Afton, Wyoming, head south on United States Highway 89 (US-89) for approximately 14.3 miles, then make a right turn into the pullout on the side of the highway. Smiths Fork Snowmobile Trailhead located within this pullout just off US-89 to the west.Approximate travel details from the Town of Afton: 14 miles, 17 minutes.
