About this place

The Silver Lake Area Trails are in the southern portion of the Moosaloomoo Recreation Area. These trials offer a diverse selection of lowland valleys and creeks, and upland hills. Multiple Trails are available in this area with an average hike time: 3/4 - 5 hours one way with lengths of 0.6 - 8.8 miles one way. Silver Lake Trailhead Parking / Falls of Lana From Middlebury, follow Route 7 to its intersection with Route 53/ Lake Dunmore Rd. Turn left on to Route 53 traveling for 3.9 miles. Parking is on the left. From Rochester, follow Route 100 south to the junction of Route 73. Take Rt. 73 west for 14 miles to Route 53. Turn right onto Route 53 and travel for 5.5 miles. Parking is on the right.
