Shanks Trailhead is a multiple use trailhead for both OHV and non-motorized trail enthusiasts. One of two trailheads to access the Shanks Trail System. From Rapid City, go west on HWY 44 approximately 6 miles, turn north on Forest Road 603. Stay on 603 for .25 miles and parking is on left.
