The San Carlos Trail has two trailheads. Trail length is 1.6 miles long. The trail is easy for hiking. Trailhead starts at 7,360 feet and gains 800 feet to 8,160 feet. The first trailhead is located off Road 78 Southwest of Beulah and Forest Service Road # 318. The second trailhead is located State Highway 165 and Forest Service Road # 320, which leads northeast from State Highway 165.
