About this place
Provides access to Waptus River Trail #1310, Cooper River Trail #1311, Pollallie Ridge Trail #1309, and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The trailhead is extremely busy 7 days a week during the summer months. Have a plan B. Parking, toilets, hitch rails, and stock ramps are available. Please observe and obey parking signs, so as to avoid blocking vehicles towing trailers. A fee is charged. From Cle Elum, take State Highway 903 19 miles to the entrance of Salmon La Sac Campground. Do not enter the campground, rather veer right on the gravel road to the trailhead, about 1/4 mile.
