Piedra River (Trailhead) serves as the upper (north) end of the Piedra Trail (596). From Pagosa Springs, CO: Travel about 2.5 miles west on U.S. Highway 160. Turn right on Piedra Road (FS 600) and drive about 16 miles. Continue on FR 631 for 0.1 mile and turn left (west) to trailhead.
