About this place
Provides access to Pear Butte Trail #979. This is very steep, difficult trail within the William O. Douglas Wilderness. It has little water but follows the ridge for great views. It is not recommended for inexperienced stock travel and hikers need to be in top shape. From Naches, take State Route 410 to Bumping Road 1800. Follow the 1800 to the 1808, Deep Creek Road, to the Mt. Aix Trailhead. Deep Creek Road is closed past the trailhead due to washout.
