One of the falls located on the Baltimore River, O Kun de Kun Falls is just 8 miles north of Bruce Crossing, MI. The 1.3 mile hike to the falls begins at a North Country National Scenic Trail trailhead. There are two waterfalls here, so when you reach the upper falls, keep going! Just after you reach O Kun de Kun Falls there is a short suspension bridge that crosses the river allowing you to continue on the North Country National Scenic Trail. Aspen and mixed hardwoods grace the gently rolling terrain along the forest trail that leads to O Kun de Kun. Because of its distance, this trail is labeled moderately difficult. Watch for slick spots in the trail after a rain. Access is from a parking lot along Highway 45. From Bruce Crossing, MI;travel north on Highway 45. You will find the parking lot approximately 8 miles north of Bruce Crossing. This is also a trailhead for the North Country Hiking Trail.
