About this place

Provides access to Muddy Meadows Trail #13 which enters Mt. Adams Wilderness from the north. Panoramic views of Mt. Adams and sub-alpine meadows along trail. A wilderness permit is required to enter Mt. Adams Wilderness. Free self-issued permits are available at the trailhead. Motorized and mechanized uses are not allowed in Wilderness areas. Parking for 6 vehicles. Access to this trailhead is down a narrow dirt road that is very rough in places. Trailers and motor homes strongly discouraged. From Trout Lake, WA take Mt Adams Road for 1.3 mi. Continue on Forest Road 23 towards Randle and follow for approximately 23 miles. Then take Forest Road 2329 (towards Takhlakh Lake) and follow for about 6.7 miles and stay right. Then take the 087 spur road to the right for about 0.5 miles to the trailhead.
