About this place
Provides access to trails in the Granite Mountain Wilderness, as well as picnic sites and trails in the Granite Basin Recreation Area. Note: This site closes During heavy snow and when the roads are too icy. If you plan to visit and want to make sure it is open, please contact the Bradshaw Ranger Station: 928-443-8000. A fee is charged. From the corner of Iron Springs Rd. and Williamson Valley Rd in Prescott, AZ: Northwest on Iron Springs approximately 3 miles. Right on Granite Basin Rd. Follow road approximately 3.8 miles. Metate Trailhead is on the left.
