About this place
This trailhead accesses the McCarthy Bar Trail which leads you to the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork of the Feather River. The trail is steep and rugged, but you are rewarded with wonderful fishing or swimming before you climb back out. From Quincy, take County Road 411 west towards Meadow Valley. Turn left on Forest Road 24N28. Follow this road past Deanes Valley Campground to the 23N99 Road. Turn left. Stay on the 23N99 until it dead ends at an old timber sale landing.
