Lower Wolf trail #304/305 is a non-motorized trail with scenic loops that wind through a mixed conifer forest. There is wildlife, wildflowers and scenic viewpoints. Hikers can rest at scenic viewpoints overlooking Ashenfelter Bay on the Pend Oreille River. Trails are open from sunrise to sunset. The Lower Wolf Trail system is located on the north edge of the city of Newport, WA. At the intersection of State Highway 20 and Warren Avenue turn north and follow Warren Avenue one mile to the lower trailhead.
