About this place
This is the easiest access to a long trail system on the Ochoco National Forest. The roads are paved the entire way from Prineville and are even cleared during the winter months. This trailhead provides access to Lookout Mountain Trail; (#804), which offers a variety of terrain for hiking, mountain biking and horses, as well as some fantastic views of the Ochoco Mountains. Since this is the lower access point to the trail you will be heading uphill most of the way if you start here. It 's great for folks looking for a more challenging hike.
