Elevation gain is 4,158 feet. Major destinations is Mill Creek Ridge, Access to Mount Aire. Trail junctions include Elbow Fork Trail. The Lamb 's Canyon Trail is a more difficult trail that connects to Elbow Fork Trail in Mill Creek Canyon. This trail works its way along a side stream through heavy stands of aspen, Douglas Fir, and spruce. The lower two-thirds of the trail is a steep climb with the last one-third much steeper as it breaks over the saddle into Mill Creek Canyon. This trail runs entirely along the bottom of the drainage so that any view of the surrounding country is limited until you reach the ridge, then there is a vista of Mill Creek Canyon and parts of the Salt Lake Valley. Access #1: Via Interstate 80 East and exit at Lamb 's Canyon. Follow the road 1.5 miles up Lamb 's Canyon to the trailhead (not marked) on the west side (right) of the road. Access #2: Via Elbow Fork Trail in Mill Creek Canyon. About 6.1 miles up Mill Creek Canyon (3800 South Wasatch Blvd) to Elbow Fork Trailhead.
