The trailhead is located high on the lofty foothills north of US Hwy 14/16/20 and provides access to Jim Mountain, Four-Bear Trail, and the North Absaroka Wilderness. Drive carefully for access to the trailhead is through the Jim Mountain community. m Cody, travel west on U.S. Highway 14/16/20 for 19.4 miles to Jim Creek Road. Proceed for about 0.3 miles and turn right onto Jim Mountain Road. Proceed for 1.5 miles and turn left onto Wapiti Heights Drive. Proceed for 0.6 miles and slight left onto South Wapiti Heights Road. Proceed for about 0.4 miles until you access the trailhead.
