19 miles of the trail heading north from the trailhead cross and utilize forest, county and state roads, and are open to highway legal motorcycles only. The 13 miles of trail heading south from the trailhead are open to highway legal and nonhighway legal motorcycles. As visitors drive on the trail they will be surrounded by pine and oak forest with an understory of grass and ferns. The terrain will range from flat to rolling sandy hills.
