About this place
Provides Access to Glenwood Horse Trail and the Gunter Ridge Hiking Trail. The Gunter Ridge Trail begins off Forest Road #3015 (Gunter Ridge Road) and climbs through a series of switchbacks to the top of Gunter Ridge in the James River Face Wilderness. Continuing along the top of Gunter Ridge and through a gap, the trail is joined by Forest Trail #9, the Belfast Trail, and intersects with Forest Trail #1 - The Appalachian Trail. Horses are allowed on the Glenwood Trail System, but horses are prohibited on the Gunter Ridge Trail.
