Directions, weather, and nearby services help you decide if this stop works tonight.
Follow this somewhat rough trail to a scenic little lake located on the northeastern slope of Mount Pilchuck. Even though the trail is rough, the short distance (about 5 miles roundtrip) and modest elevation gain make it a popular day hike. A fee is charged. From the Verlot Public Service Center (11 miles east of Granite Falls, WA), travel east on the Mt Loop Highway one mile. Turn right (south) on the Pilchuck Road (Forest Service road 42) and continue 1.5 miles to the trailhead on your left.
