About this place
The Halfmoon Trailhead provides access to the Holy Cross Wilderness and Mount of the Holy Cross at 14,005 feet. This trailhead can be very busy so please park so as not to block the road. From Minturn, travel east on US 24 about 2 miles. Immediately before crossing the Eagle River, turn right onto Tigiwon Road - FSR 707 and continue up this dirt road for 8 miles to the trailhead.
