About this place
The Green Mountain Trailhead accesses the Green Mountain Trail. The trail winds through mixed old growth conifer forest and provides access to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail and the Huston Park Wilderness area. Please be aware of special wilderness regulations, carry topographic maps, and be prepared for the wilderness challenge. It is located in the Sierra Madre Range and is managed by the Brush Creek/Hayden Ranger District. From Encampment take HWY 70 West to NFSR # 550. Take a right onto NFSR #406 and follow to the trailhead.
