About this place
This trailhead parking lot is for visitors to the 36-mile Sandstone Trail. This trail offers a wide range of scenic views and riding experiences. The trail is designated for OHV's, motorcycles, horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking. The trail is closed to mechanized use each year from January to May 1. A fee is charged. From the Longleaf Scenic Byway, Forest Highway 59, drive to Forest Service Road 395. The trailhead will be on the south side of the highway, on the right (west) side of Road 395.
