The Devils Thumb Trailhead provides access to the Indian Peaks Wilderness via the Devils Thumb Trail and the High Lonesome Trail (#7).There is parking for 15 vehicles and no facilities.Note: The access road is closed to motor vehicles between Nov. 15 and June 15.View a COTREX area map here. From US Hwy 40 between Fraser and Tabernash, take County Road 8 east to County Road 81. Go north for 2 miles to Forest Road 128.2C.
