About this place
This trailhead provides easy access to hiking and horse back riding on the Pacific Crest Trail #2000 which runs north from the trailhead to Indian Heaven Wilderness and south past the Big Lava Bed. A wilderness permit is required when entering wilderness areas. Permits are free and self-issued at the trailhead. Motorized and mechanized uses are not allowed in Wilderness areas. Parking for about 10 vehicles. Amenities include picnic table, information board, and vault toilet. No potable water. A fee is charged.
