Trailhead on National Forest land. From Reserve, travel north on New Mexico Highway 12 for 12 miles to Apache Creek across from New Mexico Highway 32. Turn east (right) onto Forest Road 94, Cox Canyon Road and proceed approximately 13.8 miles to the trailhead, located at a sharp switchback in the road.
