Trailhead on National Forest land. From Winston, go north on New Mexico Highway 52 for 9 miles to New Mexico Highway 59. Turn left (west) on Highway 59 and proceed approximately 13.5 miles to the trailhead on the south side of Highway 59, between mileposts 13 and 14.
