About this place
Christi Lake Trailhead is located high in the foothills of the Wind River Mountain off FS Road 300, more commonly known as the Loop Road, within proximity to Fiddlers Lake Campground. The trailhead is one of the portals into Christi Lake and into the Popo Agie Wilderness. The trail skirts the Popo Agie wilderness boundary but does not enter the Wilderness. This trail is popular for mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding. The trailhead includes equestrian amenities, bear boxes, and OHV loading/unloading ramps. Food storage is required. From Lander, go south on State Highway 131 to Forest Road 300, then continue south for 12 miles.
